Herbert T. Shillinburg Jr DDS, is a David Ross Boyd Professor Emeritus of Fixed Prosthodontics, at the University of Oklaoma Collegeof Dentistry. He received his DDS degree from the University of Southern California, in 1962. After serving in the US Army DentalCorps, and practing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he taught at the University of California, at Los Angeles. In 1972 he wentto Oklahoma’s University College of Dentistry, as a charter member of its dental faculty, where he served as chair of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, until his retirement in 2003.
